Chinese Beef and Mushroom Stir Fry.

It would seem that one of our local stores has come beyond a supply of Shiitake Mushrooms and I am non ane to look a gift horse in the rima oris. So here I am with another Chinese inspired fakeaway recipe!

I utilize mushrooms a lot in my Chinese influenced cooking, shiitake too appear in my hot and sour soup.

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak into sparse strips peradventure 3-4mm wide across the grain of the beef.
  2. Combine the soy sauces with the cornflour (cornstarch in the US).
  3. Add the thinly sliced beef and let to marinate.
  4. Cut the white part of the spring onions into 1cm lengths and finely slice the green parts.
  5. Piece the garlic equally thinly equally you can.
  6. Deseed and finely piece the chillies lengthways into 2mm thick ribbons.
  7. Remove the stalks from the mushrooms and finely slice the caps, we are only using the caps here, freeze the stalks for another utilize.
  8. Combine the Hoisin sauce, Shaoxing wine and sesame oil in a basin and fix aside.
  9. Heat a wok over a high estrus and when it is shimmering hot add the oil.

  14. Throw in the green parts of the spring onion, fry for a final xxx seconds and serve.

Notes

Serve with some but boiled jasmine rice, again with all stir fried dishes become all of your ingredients ready before you begin.
